The Citizenship-by-Investment (CBI) program of Antigua and Barbuda requires the applicant to make an economic contribution to the country. In exchange, and subject to stringent application procedures, such as background checks, applicants and their family members are granted citizenship.

Investors can include dependents in the CBI application:

  • Spouse
  • Children below the age of 28
  • parents or grandparents above the 58 years old.

Applicants can qualify for Antigua and Barbuda citizenship under its Citizenship-by-Investment program by four options:

      • Donation of at least US $100,000 to the National Development Fund (NDF);
      • Purchase of real estate with value of at least US $400,000 or US $200,000 in case of joint investment;
      • Investment in business of at least US $1,5 million;
      • Contribution of at least US $150,000 to the University of the West Indies Fund.

Government processing and due diligence fees also apply and process will take 2 to 4 months.

Obtaining a second passport through Antigua and Barbuda’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program is beneficial in many ways:

A second passport from Antigua and Barbuda gives its holder visa-free access to around 150 countries, including

European Schengen Area, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine,Hong Kong, CARICOM countries.

The threshold for the National Development Fund (NDF) option has been reduced by 50%; from US$200,000 to US$100,000 for a family of up to four applicants, and from US$250,000 to US$125,000 for a family of five and over.

Real Estate

To qualify for citizenship under the real estate option, the government requires applicants to make an investment in designated, officially approved real estate with a value of at least US$ 400,000 plus the payment of government processing fees and due diligence fees, however, Two (2) applications from related parties can make a joint investment, with each applicant investing a minimum of US $200,000 in order to qualify.
