The Route · Australia

Regional Australia — Which Is Most Of It.

This route exists to support Australia's regional development, and in exchange it offers skilled workers a clear path to long-term settlement. You need a State or Territory government to nominate you, or an eligible family member already living in a designated regional area to sponsor you.

Permanent Residency at Three Years

Unrestricted Travel

Include Your Family

Eligible family members can be included in the visa application — and each of them is priced, which the term sheet below shows.

A Pathway to Australian Citizenship

Five years of lawful residence, and the minimum requirements met, opens eligibility for citizenship.

Security and Lifestyle

A secure environment and one of the highest standards of living anywhere in the world.

Healthcare and Education

Australian residency opens access to high-quality healthcare and education.

The Social Welfare System

Access to Centrelink — Australia's social security and assistance system — after two years of permanent residency.

Dual Citizenship Allowed

No requirement to renounce an existing nationality on taking Australian residency or citizenship.

Family Inclusion

A spouse or partner and children under 18 — or dependent children aged 18 to 23 — can apply alongside.

The Age Ceiling Is Absolute

Applicants must be under 45. Not "preferred", and not a points deduction that a stronger file can absorb — the source states it as a requirement. No amount of qualification, experience, English or money moves it.

If you are 45 or over, this route is closed and there is no version of your file that opens it. The National Innovation Visa has no age limit at all, grants permanent residence on the day it is issued, and needs neither an employer nor a State nomination. That is where to look next.

Two Words Doing A Lot Of Work

“Regional”. This visa is for designated regional areas, and the designation is the Department's, not a general sense of being outside a city. Which areas qualify changes, and it decides where you may live and work — so confirm the list against where you actually intend to settle before anything is filed.

“Nominated”. Either a State or Territory government nominates you, or an eligible family member already resident in a designated regional area sponsors you. Neither is a job offer, and neither is something you can supply yourself — which makes it the step most worth testing first, in the free assessment.

Your Next Step
The eligibility assessment is free and it takes your age, your occupation and your points in one pass. Start there — it costs nothing to find out.

Points, Nomination, Grant

Three sequential submissions sit inside a single step on this route — the skills assessment, the Expression of Interest, then the visa. The Bayat Group panel tracks all three as separate milestones, because that is how they actually behave.

Your points, calculated live — and what would move them, before you commit to a submission.

Costs

Everyone In The Household Is Priced.

This is the one Australian route whose government fees scale with your family — AUD 2,385 for a spouse and AUD 1,190 for each child under 18, on top of the main applicant's AUD 4,770. Move the controls and watch it.

This is the only Australian page that names its currencies, and it names two: US dollars for the consultation and legal fees, Australian dollars for the skills assessment and the visa. They are shown as two subtotals because adding them would be meaningless. Both the skills assessment and the main applicant's visa fee are published as ranges or as “from” figures, so treat the Australian subtotal as a floor. Only the main applicant's skills assessment is priced; the source prices none for a spouse. Medicals, biometrics and police clearances from every country of residence are required at step five and priced nowhere. The applicant must be under 45, hold a suitable skills assessment for an occupation on the relevant list, meet the minimum points requirement, have competent English, meet health and character standards, and be nominated by a State or Territory government or sponsored by an eligible family member in a designated regional area. Occupation lists, points thresholds and every fee here are set by the Department of Home Affairs and move. Figures are indicative, non-binding, and confirmed during due diligence.

One-to-One Consultation

Our Registered Migration consultant schedules a personal session to understand where you stand and to advise on the most strategic route to your Australian goals. That may or may not turn out to be this one.

Letter of Advice, and the Agreement

You receive a tailored Letter of Advice setting out our recommendations, with an agreement to proceed. The Letter of Advice is a legally recognised document and it is the foundation the rest of the application is built on.

Documentation and Application Submissions

Our documentation specialists give you a full checklist and the drafts to work from; everything can be submitted online. This step runs in three stages: i. the skills assessment, verifying your qualifications and experience against Australian standards; ii. the Expression of Interest, registering your intent with the States and Territories; and iii. the visa application itself, for your selected subclass.

Medicals and Police Clearances

After the visa application is lodged, you attend biometric and health assessments, and police clearance certificates from every country you have lived in go to the Department of Home Affairs.

Visa Grant

Once every requirement is met, the grant is a matter of time. The visa runs up to five years, and after three years' holding you may become eligible to apply for permanent residency.

Check It First. It Costs Nothing.

Our concierge answers your General Skilled questions in minutes — starting with the two that close the route outright, which are your age and whether your occupation is on the list. When you are ready it opens your application where the conversation ends.
